Staff of Ra Metal Fittings - Screen Accurate! (Antique Gold)

This listing is for the high quality screen accurate metal staff fittings to make the Staff of Ra prop replica. These Staff of Ra metal fittings work with both the Raven Bar and the Imam versions of the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra that we offer in our shop and will also work with our older Norank version of the Ra Headpiece. There is no guarantee that it will work with any other headpieces. You can find a wooden dowel shaft at a local hardware store. The longest readily available wooden shaft that we were able to find is 72 inches long in the .75 inch diameter. Just add a slight cone shape to one end where the top of the staff fitting goes and drill a 7/32 inch hole in the other end where the bottom staff fitting goes. Any additional item(s) seen in the pictures are sold separately including the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra and the Staff Display Base. Please note: due to the manufacturing tolerances of the casting and plating process the headpiece adaptor needed to be made so that the fit is slightly loose inside the headpiece. This is solved by using a couple of flat style toothpicks and breaking off the fat ends and inserting those into the sides of the slot so that there is one on each side of the adaptor tab. Then you can press the staff adapter and the headpiece together and it will be a tight fit. The first time you press them together the fit will be very tight. Over time with repeatedly taking them apart and putting them back together the connection will start to loosen up again. If/when the connection becomes too loose then just replace the toothpicks. Overall this method is better than any other options because it will create a tight fit and the wear-n-tear parts (toothpicks) can easily be replaced at a negligible cost.
