Oticon miniFit Domes have oval holes placed in each dome. These are different from closed or bass domes. As always we recommend you visit your audiologist or hearing specialists before Oticon hearing aids are precision instruments. To ensure they are running at their optimum performance, they recommend to use genuine replacement parts. So when it comes to to replenish your wax guards it is imperative to follow the advice of your audiologist, and replace or clean them depending on your level of cerumen build up. The tool set included in this purchase will help you do just that. Keep it running its best, while preserving its life so that replacing parts (which can be costly) can be kept to a minimum. This kit includes: A White Tapered Brush - For cleaning vents, and tubes larger than 2mm A 4-in-1 Tool: a bristled brush, vented cleaning probe (for vents smaller than 2mm), a magnet that can help replacing batt eries, and a wire loop to ease in cerumen (ear wax) removal from device components, domes and wax guards. MICROFIBER CLOTH Comes with an essential, soft microfiber cleaning cloth for maintaining the overall cleaning of hearing aid instruments, domes, tubes, and wax guards. Open 8mm domes – With open style domes, you have multiple openings along the body of the hearing aid dome. These openings help prevent the occlusion that many perceive with closed hearing aid domes while still providing a quality amplified sound. This style of hearing aid dome is good for mild to moderate hearing loss. Be sure to discuss with a hearing aid specialists if you have specific questions regarding the care and placement of domes in your hearing device.
